Join local textile artist and teacher Lisa Johnson as she shows you how to make a super cute vintage inspired ‘penny rug’ table runner. Made from linen, felt, crochet cotton and embroidery threads, the piece originally intended to be a table runner, could be customised to be a smaller table centrepiece or even a scarf.

It will be a lovely relaxing day of stitching and playing with colour, I think of the runner as a cross between the work of Sophie Digard and Sue Spargo. You will learn to make crocheted, stitched, pompom or tassel embellishments for your runner or wearable. Lisa will prepare a kit of work felt pieces to enhance the pieces you may have.
